Meet Megan

For more than a decade, Megan Oh has built her real estate career around a simple belief: real estate is about far more than buying and selling property—it is about helping people make informed decisions that can shape their financial future, their families, and their legacies.

A lifelong Texan and longtime North Texas resident, Megan brings a unique combination of real estate experience, legal knowledge, and genuine compassion to every client she serves. Before becoming a real estate professional, Megan spent 18 years working as a paralegal, including the final 10 years working alongside real estate attorneys. Her legal background exposed her to virtually every side of the real estate world, including commercial REO, residential investment properties, evictions and property management, and residential real estate transactions. That experience gave her an understanding of contracts, negotiations, risk, and the legal and financial complexities that can arise in real estate transactions long before she ever became an agent.

Megan became a licensed real estate professional in 2016 and began her career with Keller Williams, where she worked from 2017 through 2021. In 2018, she founded Providential Real Estate, creating a foundation for the independent business she continues to build today. She joined Compass in 2021 and, in 2025, transitioned to eXp Realty, where she continues to serve clients throughout the North Texas market. In 2024, Megan earned her Texas Real Estate Broker's License, further expanding her knowledge and expertise within the industry.

Over the course of her real estate career, Megan has represented buyers, sellers, investors, and families through a wide range of transactions and circumstances. Her experience includes traditional residential sales, investment properties, relocation, distressed properties, foreclosure and loss-mitigation situations, and transactions involving complex contractual and legal considerations. She is known for being thorough, steady under pressure, and willing to dig into the details when a transaction requires more than a standard approach.

In 2022, Megan earned the Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert® (CDRE®) designation through The Ilumni Institute, adding a specialized area of practice to her real estate business. Since earning her designation, she has intentionally built relationships within the family law community throughout Collin, Denton, and Dallas counties. Today, she works with attorneys, mediators, and families who need an experienced real estate professional to help navigate the unique challenges that arise when real estate is part of a divorce.

As a CDRE®, Megan understands that a divorce-related real estate transaction is fundamentally different from a traditional sale. There are often competing interests, significant financial consequences, court orders, attorneys and other professionals involved, and emotions that can make an already complicated process even more difficult. Her role is to provide an informed, neutral, and practical perspective on the real estate while helping the parties and their professional advisors understand the options available to them.

Her legal background is particularly valuable in this area of practice. Megan understands the importance of carefully following court orders, clearly documenting decisions, communicating with multiple parties, and identifying issues that may affect the successful completion of a transaction. She works closely with the professionals involved in each matter while maintaining the boundaries of her role as a real estate professional.

Megan's education further complements her experience. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in law, and a Master of Arts in the History of Ideas with a focus on ethics. She has also earned specialized real estate designations and certifications, including the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), and Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert® (CDRE®).

While Megan's background and credentials are extensive, what matters most to her is how that experience translates to her clients. She believes clients deserve to understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and what the potential consequences may be. Rather than simply moving a transaction from contract to closing, she takes the time to identify potential problems, explain options, negotiate thoughtfully, and advocate for her clients' interests.

Megan has a particular passion for helping people use real estate as a tool for building financial stability and long-term wealth. Whether she is helping a first-time buyer purchase a home, assisting an investor with a property decision, navigating a complicated sale, or helping a family determine how to handle real estate during a divorce, she approaches each situation with the same combination of knowledge, preparation, empathy, and determination.

Megan believes the best real estate professionals do more than facilitate a transaction. They bring perspective when decisions are complicated, ask the questions others may overlook, and help clients move forward with confidence. Her approach is grounded in preparation, communication, and a genuine commitment to the people behind every transaction. Her goal is to help clients move through their real estate journey with confidence—and ultimately turn that journey into a lasting legacy.

Outside of real estate, Megan’s favorite moments are often the simplest ones spent with her husband and their four children, whether cheering on a football team on Friday nights or relaxing together on the couch watching movies. She intentionally makes family time a priority, creating space for connection amid busy schedules. Many summers find the family exploring the Texas Gulf Coast, where beach days and new experiences have become a favorite way to make memories together.

Giving back to the community is also important to Megan. She is passionate about supporting organizations that serve children and families in need, and Thanksgiving holds a special place in her heart. Each year, she commits both time and financial resources to a local food pantry, helping ensure families experiencing food insecurity can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. For Megan, investing in people and strengthening the community are just as important as the work she does in real estate.
